1. Eat right. - Load up on fruits and vegetables, especially immune-system boosters like citrus fruits, carrots, and spinach, as well as beans, garlic, and foods rich in Omega-3 fatty acids. If you've already got a cold, try “hot” foods like radishes and cayenne pepper to clear nasal passages and speed recovery by helping you feel better.
2. Wash your hands. - Bust germs by washing your hands frequently with regular soap and drying them thoroughly. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth whenever possible, so germs you do come into contact with won't reach the places where they can make you sick. If you work in an office, don't share phones with co-workers.
3. Relax and meditate. - When we're stressed, are bodies get worn down and more susceptible to colds and viruses. Practice meditation for at least 10 minutes a day and do whatever works for you to relax.
4. Boost your immunity with a lunch-time walk. - When it's 50 degrees out, there's no reason not to step outside for fresh air. But even when it gets colder, it's smart to bundle up and go for a stroll. You'll escape all the inside germs and poor air quality, and the exercise will actually help to boost your immunity.
