Feng Shui Your Computer: How To Turn Your Desktop into a Money Magnet

In Feng Shui, your desktop on your computer can help improve your energy, focus and luck. These tips can help you and your subconscious mind attract new possibilities and opportunities for wealth, money and fame.

Feng Shui Wallpaper DesktopIf you work from home, own your own business, or even pursue additional revenue streams after hours from home, as many people today do, your computer becomes your lifeline to additional income -- and, as such, it may help or hinder your efforts to become a money magnet.

If you work for someone else, the computer you use is also tied to your ability to make money. Shouldn't you treat your computer with care then?

I've mentioned that you can apply the Feng Shui Ba Gua to your desk, but you can also apply Feng Shui principles to your computer to turn it into a virtual money magnet. Follow these pointers.

1. What you see, you attract. - The Chinese Red Bird principle says that whatever is in our vision is what we attract to ourselves. Since your computer desktop is prominently in front of you for hours a day, make sure the desktop image you choose is inspirational and welcoming. Avoid mountain scenery, since this could promote a sense of feeling blocked when it comes to making money or career advancement. Rolling water, waterfalls, family pictures, photos of vacation spots you love ... these are all great images to keep in front of you.

2. Ergonomics make you more productive. - Are you comfortable working at your keyboard? If not, consider a more ergonomic set-up. If you frequently work from a tablet, consider a USB keyboard that might be more comfortable. When you're buying a new laptop, test the keyboard in the store and make sure it's comfortable.

Of course, the ergonomics of your computer also relate to your desk and chair. Make sure your office is set up so that you are comfortable. Your computer screen should be directly in front of you at eye level. You should not have to look up or down or turn your head to see the screen. Any other configuration may cause fatigue.

3. Organize your icons. - Just as organizing your kitchen cabinets to keep items you use frequently close at hand can reduce stress when you're making dinner, organizing your computer desktop can save you time, increase your productivity, and reduce stress at work or in your business. Remove icons you don't use often (you can always access the programs from the toolbar) and keep the rest where you would intuitively look for them.

If you frequently refer to one or two documents, keep shortcuts to those documents on your desktop so you can open them with one click. In general, the rule “less is more” will increase your productivity and help turn you transform yourself into the money magnet you have the potential to be!
