Not sure where to find the main entrance to your NYC apartment? The best Feng Shui apartment buildings will have a clearly delineated main entrance situated directly at the front of the building. But if your building's main entrance isn't as easy to spot, perhaps because it's at the side of building, you should be able to tell based on where the most activity takes place. Which entry do people use the most often? Where is the main street located? (The main entrance will most likely be on the street with the greatest flow of traffic.)
Avoid Buildings with Two Main Entries
Sometimes, a building actually has two or more main entrances. This is okay if:- The doors are both located on the same side of the building
- The doors are right next to each other.
- The doors are located on perpendicular (not parallel) sides of the building
Avoid buildings with multiple main entrances if:
- the building is a triangle with a door on each side. This can lead to tedious, tiresome problems such as things breaking within the home, break-ins, and other endless struggles- the doors are parallel to each other, causing chi to rush in one door and out the other, taking the apartment residents' money, opportunities and energy with it.
- the entrances are all under ground and accessible via elevator
