Feng Shui House Numbers: The Truth, Myth & Meaning

house numbers feng shui

One of the biggest questions most people have is whether or not their address is good or bad.

It typically goes something like this. “I’m looking to move to a new place, and the number of the place is 14. Is that good or bad.

My house number is 4. No wonder I’m having such terrible luck. What can I do to remedy my house number?

Sometimes people will employ numerology – the symbolism of numbers – to help try to assess their current situation and the chi or energy of a home, apartment or place of business.

So in today’s episode, I’m going to explain the importance, priority and evaluation of the house number in Feng Shui.

My explanation may shock you…

I'm curious...

My house number is #540. I think I am lucky. Because that makes 9, and this is the join earth with sky. Also the number is inside a shield like a bagua map. This shield arround the number, it is white color. It looks like a Bagua map frame. And the rest of the house is soft yellow, the edge of the top is: Dark red. Tell me is this correct? Thak you very much, Ken. I live in México.

I learn't from this video thankyou. My problem is I live below a flat under some stairs that go to the top flat. The main door faces west. The plans are exactly the same top and bottom flats.Toilets are in the Sth East. Kitchen in the East. Bedrooms 2 of them are in the north. I feel that I have to work 10x harder to earn money and pay my bills. I am exhausted by the end of the week trying to balance the books. It is ,never ending. Next think the car breaks down or one of the kids is struggling or i carn't go some where because i'm scared that another cost will come unexpectedly. So far i'm enjoying what I read Susie from New Zealand.

As you may have watched in the video, the house number is not a true priority in the evaluation of a home. It is about the theme of a space that tells the overall story. Although, many of the things you mention sound fine but this does not usually impact the Feng Shui of a home.

A year ago I moved to an apartment complex, I live on the second level in apartment 50 (5+0=5) with in a year of living there I totaled my car,(a drunk driver hit me) my 40 gal fish tank breaks (which I spent several dollars on)my neighbor down stairs hates me and I think my apartment floor is on a really bad slant. I live in a corner apartment but everything seems do go wrong, no good luck.. and I do not have or any interest in a love life, I have an 11 year old daughter and she is doing poorly in certain subjects (math, social studies). What can I do to fix my apartments energy...
Please HELP!

Hello Ken,
I am so glad to hear this message. My house number is 4994, so for a long time it was a worry to me. Now, I add them all up to get 26, and then 6 + 2 equals 8. Either way, I am glad to know this does not affect the Feng Shui of our home...

Based on what you described, I would consider a 1-on-1 consultation. This would enable you to send me photos of your space and together we can create an action plan to help you experience progress and forward movement. My house has a lamppost right outside the front door and faces up the street, a cul de sac, with two 'prongs' wrapping round my house and a few others. There is a small hedge along the front garden. I have put two bamboo plants on either side of the door, the taller one on the left hand side looking out of the door. What can I do to enhance the Chi of the house?

Without truly seeing your space, it is difficult to say what may have the biggest impact on the chi of your space. For personal guidance, I recommend you consider a 1-on-1 consultation where you will be able to send me photos of your space and I can make recommendations to help you reach your goals. Click on the link at the top of the page for "Get Started Now" to learn more.
