Hello,

Great Video. I've oft wondered about my desk and whether or not it is conducive to what I'm trying to accomplish at this time. I have an L-Shaped Metal frame all glass top desk. It fits the best for me in this space, but I have always had trouble focusing when I sit down and try to study.

Suggestions?

Best, MJ

MJ,

Thanks for the note and comment. As you may have seen in the video above, I share the best shapes and materials for the desk. Ideally, it is not an L Shaped desk and the top should be solid wood rather than glass.

If you are not able to replace it at this time, I recommend getting a desk pad and seeing if you are able to position your computer or yourself so that you are not sitting in the corner of the desk.

Great video but I have a problem a big problem I am a designer and my office is always untidy. It drives me crazy. I have cataloges, fabrics, carpet samples and much more eating up my office what can I do to make it look neet and tidy. As a designer I should be on top of this but cannot seem to get a handle on it. Thanks,Jo Anna

Jo Anna,

Thanks for the note and sharing this.

My advice would be to approach your space like a client consultation. Stand back and write out what you would do for you client with this space and how would you help them organize. Don't just start trying to organize the items but take some quiet time to figure out your strategy and approach.

Maybe it is a different layout, maybe these items don't always need to be there, maybe there are better organizational items that could be included to create the picture perfect experience that you create for you clients.
