Feng Shui Your Home To Sell Fast And At Top Dollar

House Selling Tips feng shuiFeng Shui tips to sell your home or house fast is top of mind for a home seller.

When you're trying to use Feng Shui to sell your home quickly, there are some Feng Shui rules you can apply to encourage home buyers to fall in love with your home and be willing to pay top dollar to purchase the home.

The basic rules of Feng Shui, including ways to empower the three most important areas of your home, also apply when you are trying to sell your home fast.

Let's look at how some basic Feng Shui rules and conventions can work to your advantage if you are showing your home to prospective buyers and focusing on a fast sale close to your asking price.

1. Make your front entrance open and inviting.

A Feng Shui front entrance invites opportunities in to your home -- and also welcomes prospective buyers with a positive impression! Make sure your entryway is wide and well-lit. Fix any broken stones, steps or concrete. If shrubbery is growing over in to the path to your home, trim it down. Your walkway should be wide and comfortable, but not wider than your front door.

Finally, place matching objects, such as live flowers in planters, on either side of your front door for a sense of symmetry and balance.

2. Trim shrubbery and get rid of dead plants.

Buyers may judge a home by the life chi (energy) surrounding it. Enliven your house with lots of positive chi by getting rid of any dead plants or plants that don't look inviting, such as cactus. Make sure no shrubbery or trees touch your home, as this is bad Feng Shui. Also take care of plants in your home, remove dead or dying plants or flowers, and place houseplants in spots where they will thrive based on the amount of natural sunlight they require.

3. Make your kitchen look welcoming, home-y and a little bit used.

Infuse your kitchen with the scent of cinnamon, either from cooking or burning incense. Remember that your stove represents how other see you, and it is one of the most important areas of a home in Feng Shui. Make sure it's clean and that all burners work. Keep the stovetop surface empty; hang or stack any pots and pans on hooks or in cabinets where they belong, although a teapot on a stove can add a welcoming touch.

Keep counters clear and, if possible, keep your garbage pail out of sight for better Feng Shui.
