Feng Shui Your Goals: Achieve What You Want with Words and Pictures
No doubt you've heard the expression “A picture is worth a thousand words.” That's true because, often, a picture shows us something words simply can't express. One picture can convey a concept quickly and accurately.
When you're visualizing your goals -- well, it's called “visualizing,” not “verbalizing,” for a reason. A picture lets you see your goal in front of you, whether that goal is weight loss, a bigger home, a better job, more money, a luxury item, or meeting the love of your life.
Words, however, do have their place when it comes to getting clear on our goals and vision of what we want. Words allow you to be more specific about your desires and put a step-by-step plan in place to get where you want to be.
You can achieve your goals with three easy steps, and there are ways to use Feng Shui to improve the power of each step. Step 1: Put your goals in pictures.
First, think about what your goal represents to you. If you want to lose weight and be more healthy, maybe photos of someone exercising or someone in a bikini represents where you want to be. If it's a specific home or apartment you want, take a picture of it. Maybe you have big goals with many different facets: abundance, health, love.
Take pictures, clip them out of a magazine or even draw them to create a vision board to put all these goals in front of you. You can hang these pictures in a space where you see them every day, or place them in the trigram of your house, according to the Feng Shui Ba Gua
, based on the nature of the goals. So goals related to career advancement would go in the Career trigram
, romantic goals would go in the Love & Marriage trigram, etc. Step 2: Put your goals in to words.
When you write something down it becomes more real. Rather than clipping pictures from magazines, when you write you actually create what you want in words. Be as detailed as possible, working backwards to outline your plan.
Then read this goal and plan every morning when you wake up and every night before you go to bed. This is a powerful technique that will help you manifest anything you want.
You might also hang plaques with inspirational, positive messages, or even single words (such as “Abundance” or “Creativity”) in corresponding trigrams of your home, to send a powerful message to your subconscious every time you see these signs. Step 3: Take action
This third, critical step is the way you put the energy of the Universe in to motion, acting in alignment with your intention and goals. Use Feng Shui anchoring objects that remind you of your goals in specific areas of your home. These anchoring objects are representations of your goals and may include sporting equipment, photos in frames, candles, fountains and other objects.
When you see these objects, re-affirm your intention to do what it takes to achieve your goals, and then go out and take those steps -- today!
When you put your home in to alignment with your goals, visualize your success, and take action to achieve it, you'll be amazed by the results!
