Feng Shui Money Corner: First Step To A Richer Life

feng shui money cornerDo you know which area of your home most affects your income? Many people are confused by this important Feng Shui concept and it is one of the most common questions people ask me.

Fortunately, the answer is easy and, once you can locate your Feng Shui money corner, you can unlock the door to increased opportunities and amazing wealth.

Understanding the Feng Shui Ba Gua

Feng Shui experts use a map, called the Ba Gua, to locate each area of a home and the corresponding areas of life that space influences. The wealth or money corner is the top left corner of the Feng Shui Ba Gua.

So, when you stand at your front door looking in, your Feng Shui money, or wealth, corner, is in the far left hand corner. It's really that easy!

Enhancing Your Wealth Corner for Greater Fortune

The element associated with this trigram of the Feng Shui Ba gua is wood, so you can enhance the area with either water (which feeds wood) or wooden elements:
- a water fountain
- a money tree plant
- a bamboo plant
- the colors blue, purple, red

You can also use objects that remind you of money, including pictures of money, a picture of a check for any amount you can imagine, or items that make you feel wealthy, to reinforce that corner of your home.

Every room in your house has its own money corner. You may want to reinforce the positive chi in the money corner of your home office, your living room, or other places you spend a lot of time. You may also add a fountain to the wealth corner of your yard for increased fortune.

When you use Feng Shui to enhance your wealth, your positive beliefs and clear-minded goals will help reinforce the Feng Shui practices you employ.

My main money corner is situated in an empty spot in my dining room. I really need that spot to be a little home office were I do my bills, sew, and where my son can color when he wants to get creative. Is it ok to put a home office in my money corner or will that hinder the "feng shui-ness" of it.

Thank you for the comment. It would be ok to have a work area in that specific corner. However, I do recommend trying to keep it clean and organized.

There is no simple and easy answer to your question. Improving your money can be on a variety of different factors including the lot shape, the floor plan, the location of different rooms, etc. For those that seek personal guidance, I recommend you consider a 1-on-1 consultation where you can send me photos of your space so that we can assess the true challenges and create an action plan to help you move forward with your most important goals. I have a house of 3 levels, which one do I consider the wealth area? main level? does the court yard and patio counts? if so, my wealth area is the back of the court yard fence. Help, Thank you for all you do Ken, God bless.

Rosy, great question. Typically, you look at the floor plan and the main floor. You can also look at the lot shape and the bedroom for the wealth area. I would not try to focus on each floor. The court yard and patio is not to be considered part of the house.

My front door opens into a small hallway and directly faces the bathroom and actual toilet. I try and keep the door closed and lid of the toilet down but I have young children so it is often open and up. What could I do?

Thanks for the note. It is challenging to say where to put it when I don't know your specific space. The first step is placing your bed in a command position. Meaning that you can see the door but not be in line with the door. Then you start to figure out the major pieces of furniture and where they best belong. Each space is different. The bedroom should be filled with light colors that are soothing and relaxing. The light orange may be too active and as a result, you've lost communication with your significant other. You may wish to consider a 1-on-1 Feng Shui consultation where you can take photos of your space and share them with me to optimize your space and life.

Hi Ken
I want to know. If I use the Feng Shui Ba Gua the main bedroom is in the wealth, fame and marriage area. So it is only one room at the back, how do I aplay the chart then?

Thanks for the question. Not sure if I truly understand your question. I'm guessing you're saying what to do if one room has several areas of the ba gua in it? Keep in mind that you can also apply the Ba Gua to just that room.
My question to you is, what is it that you're trying to accomplish or change in your life?
I would recommend you become a fan of my Facebook page as I'll be holding live Q & A calls to help you get your questions answered or if you would like to see if or how I can help you create the change you seek, let's chat for a couple of minutes. You can reach me via my Facebook fan page.
