Feng Shui Wallet Color: What the Color of Your Wallet Says About Your Wealth

feng shui color of wallet resized 600Just as the colors we choose for our wardrobe can affect how people view us and also how we perform in certain situations, the color of our wallet reflects our thoughts about money and wealth. But the good news is, you can turn your wallet into a money magnet.

Take a look at these wallet colors and then look at your own. What does the color of your wallet say about you?

In what ways do you wish to change your relationship with money?

Could you get a new wallet in a different color to reflect this intention and help shift your mindset?

Black or Blue - These colors represent the water element, which corresponds with the wealth trigram of the Feng Shui ba gua. A black wallet is considered the best color for a wallet, as it will help you attract wealth. Consider a black leather wallet to invoke feelings of wealth whenever you open your wallet to make a purchase.

Red - A red door is considered good luck in Feng Shui. Adding the color red to the decor of a store front can bring the business owner good luck. A red wallet, too, may help you attract money, but not everyone is going to be comfortable carrying one. Consider a black wallet with red accents if you don't want to go all red as red can be associated with the fire element meaning that you may spend your money as soon as you put it in your wallet.

Green - The color green, which corresponds to the element of wood, represents growth and life chi. Just as adding plants to your home or apartment helps increase the flow of positive life energy in your space, a green wallet can help increase your income opportunities. Entrepreneurs may consider a green wallet as it will help spark their creativity and originality for business ideas that will contribute to greater wealth.

Yellow, brown and beige - These colors correspond with the Feng Shui element of earth, representing stability and security, a strong foundation. If you're seeking financial security above all else, consider a wallet in this color. Having a brown leather wallet will make it easier for you to hold on to your cash.

I have a photo of my girlfriend in my wallet, and of my boyfriend. Is it bad to keep them in?

Thank you for sharing this. I personally would not keep both in your wallet as this may provide conflict. To keep it simplified, I might try removing both from your wallet.

I have a picture of the twin towers in NY- which I love because they will forever be an engineering achievement, even though they were destroyed. In which room/corner should I hang it? It has a black, wood frame.

Thank you for the comment. Regarding the picture of the twin towers, I personally would not have it displayed in my home as living in NYC, it has too much emotions for me and I don't wish to experience all of those each time I would view the picture.
For you, you need to better understand how it makes you feel when you view it. If you are amazed by the building and inspired or if it develops other feelings for you. And then ask yourself if those feelings are the ones that you want to experience.

Hi Ken, i am currently using a fuschia pink wallet and i feel that i spend money like water, without doing much thinking. do you think it has got something to do with the colour of my wallet. and also would it be better if i switch to a black long nylon wallet? is it alright if my wallet isn't leather? also, i keep my childhood passport photo together with my granny passport photo inside my wallet. is it advisable?
thanks alot ken

Thank you for the comment and question. I would consider switching to a black wallet like you said.
Regarding the material, it should be something that makes you feel good and proud when you touch it and not guilty or create non-supportive thoughts.
The childhood photo and that of your granny, may not be the best location for a photo. It may represent better times or times of innocence in the past and that the present moment is not as good as the past.
Keep in mind the wallet is only one small factor into the bigger theme of spending money, etc. It is really about understanding what you want to change in your life and seeing how your current space and life supports or neglects that.

hi Ken, should i have a metal color one since this represent money? i have a black leather on but since november no money, no job! hope u can give advise.

In the article above, I talk about the fortunate colors. In Feng Shui, water represents money, opportunities and income. This is associated with black and blue colors.
Keep in mind that the wallet color has a very minimal impact if the Feng Shui of your home is not balanced or in harmony as the home is something that needs to be the priority to increase your income and money.

Thanks for sharing this info very clearly.
I've been using black leather wallet ever since and I has this strong urge to use a red one for the first time. Now I'm using 2 wallets at the same time, a black and a red.
Will money get confused?

Hi Ken,i have just read your article on wallet colours, am currently using a red wallet and i spend all my money as soon as it is kept in the red wallet. I will go with your advice of getting a black one with red patches. Thanks

Hey Ken...I have a rad one and there is coming enough money but its always quick out. Ik go for an other colour. But the money is realy streaming more with the red one.

The only thing that may get confused is you trying to figure out where you money, ID, credit cards are if you are switching back and forth. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

Hi Ken,
Thanks, I strongly AGREE with you, Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication! I really got confused at first by using a red and a black wallet at the same time but I noticed that putting all my extra money (for shopping) in the red wallet and keeping the rest in the black one made me control my spending or is it just psychological?
One thing is for sure though, organized wallets of both colors attract money! :)

I had a fuchsia wallet, brought in November, on which the zipper recently broke. At the same time, things haven't been going well at work, and I was told my my bosses that they are looking for someone more senior to take on some of the work they had planned to give me. I just got a new aqua wallet today, good quality, took out unnecessary loyalty cards etc. Will this help?
