Yard sales and garage sales give you an opportunity to find some great items that fit into your space without spending a lot of money. As long as you pay attention to the energy inherent in an item you are purchasing, it's perfectly okay to Feng Shui your home with garage sale finds.
Sometimes, you'll just feel that a particular item has negative energy surrounding it. A Feng Shui space cleansing can help give them item new life and positive energy in your home. But having a garage sale is also good Feng Shui. Here's why:

Get a few of your neighbors together, set a date, post signs around the neighborhood and place an ad on Craig's List. Expect a few early birds looking for deals, so make sure you're set up about 15 minutes before the start time. Price items low to make sure they sell so you have less to pack up in the evening.
Use the money you earn to have a neighborhood pot luck barbecue after the sale and keep the positive energy (and good food and drinks!) flowing late into the night.
