Oprah Ends Show with Universal Message for Success
Oprah ended an era on May 25 with her final show after 25 years on the air. One common theme throughout this last episode was finding your true calling and then going out and living it.
This isn't news to anyone, really. It's a common thread that runs through her show and also through her magazine. And many, many successful people share these same beliefs. That's because they're true. In fact, some people may call it the “secret to success.”
The Secret of Success
Find what you love, then go out and do it. Not only will you make money, you will be happy. Many studies show that money really can't buy happiness, but it can buy a number of other things: survival, security, comfort, and even time. (If you've ever hired someone to do a task you don't like doing, you've used your money to buy more time to do things you enjoy.)
Having Trouble Finding Your Calling?
It can be challenging, though, if you don't know your calling. In fact, maybe you've been searching all your life to find the one thing you've been put on this planet to do. Not everyone is like Oprah, who can stand on her sound stage and say, “Every day that I stood here I knew that this was exactly where I was meant to be."
