Laughter Raises the Chi
When was the last time you
laughed with good friends until you practically wept?
What wonderful physical and emotional release laughter gives us! Negative moods, self-defeating thoughts and behaviors cannot survive for long in an environment with laughter. Laughing naturally raises the chi around you and enriches your spirit.

Not only does laughter dispel negative energy, it is good for us physically. When you laugh, you are automatically taking in more oxygen, releasing tension in your body and also creating serotonin. Serotonin is a hormone in the brain that promotes feelings of well-being.
Ways to Bring Laughter into Your Home
Here are some ways to bring laughter into your home:
- Invite people with whom you can laugh and enjoy.
- Rent or download silly movies.
- Roll on the floor with your dog or cat.
- Play with your children.
- Put on some music and dance.
- Laugh at yourself when you do something goofy.
Make it a goal to both increase the amount of time you laugh each day and to fill your home with the sounds of laughter.
