Going to get the fish tank out of storage today!

When I'm settled, I'll want to get a fish tank with some brightly colored goldfish. I'd love to get a cat too -- just hope the cat will stay away from the fish -- maybe if I put the tank higher it will be ok. What do you think? Thanks.

I've failed to keep fish. I try few times and give up cause they always died. So now I just keep the fish tank for storing things in the cabinet ( my fish tank come together with cabinet below ) and let the tank ( top ) empty. Is it a good idea to keep them for other purposes?
