Feng Shui House Numbers: What They Mean

feng shui house numbersFor many people shopping for a house or apartment, the home number is just something you plug into your GPS in case you get separated from the real estate agent at a red light. It's not actually given much thought.

But in Feng Shui, house numbers carry great significance for the inhabitants of a home. If your home is not a single digit, add up all the digits in the house number to get the house number for numerology purposes.

For instance, a home with the number 153 would be a number 9. (1 + 5 + 3 = 9) If you add up the digits and still get a multiple digit number, then add those digits together, until you come up with a number between 1 and 9.

The Best Feng Shui House Numbers
Feng Shui masters consider number 8 the most auspicious number for a home. The number 8, on its side, represents the infinity symbol. A number 8 home will provide endless opportunities for wealth, health, advancement and happiness.

People in a number 9 home will probably stay there a long time, if not for their whole lives. It is a good home to raise a family if you are seeking security and stability. Since number 9 also represents the attainment of a goal, and the pinnacle of achievement, this is a good place for those seeking career and financial success.

The number one in numerology represents new beginnings -- this may be a good starter home for newlywed couples.

The number 5 represents change: this can be good or bad. If you are seeking adventure, you may be drawn to a number 5 house.

My house number is "1076", which is a five house number. After 17 months of unemployment and 2 of my five children still here at home and in school, I am on the verge of foreclosure. Makes sense now...however, is there any way to reverse this with a cure? Would sure prefer not disrupting their young lives just yet! Thanks!

What about other house numers? What do they mean and what do they represent? It's nice to have best house numbers but not everyone lives in those numbers above so it would be nice to know what the other house numbers mean. I live in house number 25 which obviously adds to 7. What is the significance of this number?

I've been studying Numerology for over 20 years. Here's my 2 cent simplification of numerology as it relates to one's home number and the area of life the number rules:

1. New Beginnings, Fresh Starts, Initiating things

2. Domesticity, Family & "nesting"

3. Ease & Creativity

4. Purpose & Work

5. Change & Adaptability

6. Harmony & Socializing

7. Privacy, introspection & internal Work

8. Money (coming in or going out)

9. Transformation, elimination

Interesting but I think the house number would be pretty low on the list of priorities when buying a home - they say it's "loction, loction, location" that counts!

please tell me if number 504 is better than number 404 i am looking to buy apartment i can choose from one of them. 19/11/2010

thanking you shunt prasad

Shunt- This is Ken's post, but I think you are asking me because I got your email directly. There is no number that is better than another, it's simply that each represents something unique. 404 equals 8 and has the potential for financial growth, depends on your intention and action. 504 has more potential for spiritual and personal growth, depending on your intention and action. I'm in real estate and my advice is to buy the one that feels right-- the one you can imagine yourself living happily in. Good luck!

Sign artist- As a real estate broker, I couldn't agree more about location, but it doesn't hurt to factor in other variables.

We are looking at a house with the address of

204 South 77th?

Your take on this?

Please tell me if 20 is a lucky house number? If need to can the numbers be put out as words,eg TWENTY. Be interested to know if that would work in unlucky areas/shape homes.
Posted @ Sunday, February 05, 2012 1:10 PM by Cheryl Sinclair
Cheryl,

The number twenty is unfavorable for a house number. Spelling out the number is not going to change the situation. Keep in mind that the house number is just one small portion of the entire space including floor plan shape, lot shape and the internal space. It is about what the theme of the space is saying rather than just one item. Many of my clients enjoy my 20 minute phone consultation option to ask questions and get answers related to a home or how they can make adjustments to their space to optimize for their goals. Visit the Consulting option above http://www.kenlauher.com/consulting-services/ to review the options. This can be done no matter where in the world you live.
