The 5 Feng Shui Principles That Unlock Incredible Breakthroughs In Your Business, Relationships & Life...

Unique insights for female entrepreneurs, executives and business owners!

Feng Shui Your Office For Business Success

feng shui for the officeAccording to the Kauffman Foundation, an organization devoted to entrepreneurship, 2009 was the biggest year for start-up companies to date, surpassing even 1999 and 2000, the years of the Internet boom. According to the study, 558,000 new businesses launched per month in 2009.

Has the economy and job loss made you take a second look at what you're doing and helped you decide to start your own business? Has losing your job or a need for a second income been the push you needed to begin following your true life purpose and doing what you really love?

If you've just started a business, or are looking to grow your business, here are four easy steps you can take to using Feng Shui for the office that will encourage your success.

Feng Shui for the Office, Step 1

Place yourself in the command position. In a Feng Shui office, your seat should always be in the command position. You should be facing the door, but not directly in line with the door. Sitting in line with the door may cause you undue stress. If possible, have your back against a solid wall.

Set goals for your business and empower related sections of the Ba Gua. If you're an author, you may wish to empower the creativity trigram of your office. On the other hand, a public relations professional who's gone freelance may be more concerned about the fame and recognition trigram, which would benefit the PR firm and its clients.

Decide what is most important to you for business success and then apply one of the nine basic Feng Shui cures to that section of the Ba Gua in the room.

Keep your wealth corner clean. Pay close attention to the Feng Shui in this area of your office. In Feng Shui, the wealth corner is the back left corner of a room when you are standing in the doorway looking in. Since the main purpose of most businesses is to make money, you want to make sure this area is clean and filled with good chi. Live plants or water elements such as flowing fountains can empower this corner for business success.

Feng Shui for the Office, Step 4.

Ask yourself: “What does my office say about me and my business?” Finally, look around your office and see what “stories” the items tell. Do they predict success? Does your office show that you take pride in your business and your surroundings, or are you stuck in a corner of your home with piles of papers on a makeshift desk, that says you're not taking your new business very seriously?

Just as you write your business plan with your objectives laid out clearly, you should design your office mindfully, knowing that each item has a purpose and a place. You can use Feng Shui for the office in a number of ways to pave your path to success.
