Spice up Your Love Life with Feng ShuiWould you like to enhance your love life with Feng Shui? Perhaps you’re planning a romantic at-home rendezvous this Valentine’s Day, and you’d like to create the best atmosphere for intimacy. You can use Feng Shui to turn your bedroom into a hot spot more luxurious than a four-star romantic getaway hotel.

1.    Set the mood with the right colors.
Red accents add fire to a room, ensuring a passionate ambiance. Just be sure not to overdue the red in the bedroom as it can lead to arguments.

2.    Let the air (and chi) circulate.
The moment you enter your bedroom sanctuary, you should begin to feel relaxed and romantic. Clear away clutter and open windows (if weather permits) or use an air purifier to keep the air clear. Consider placing a bowl of fresh fruit, such as grapes and strawberries, near the bed.

3. Use scents.
You may want to employ some aphrodisiac scents in the air. Fragrances should be subtle, not overpowering. Pure essential oils work best. Some aphrodisiacs for both men and women include:
-    Licorice
-    Sandalwood
-    Cucumber
-    Jasmine
-    Vanilla

4. Appropriate lighting
Your bedroom lights should be on a dimmer switch, permitting you to set the mood. Better yet, a few natural, non-toxic candles (such as those made from soy or beeswax) create the perfect lighting for a romantic mood.

excellent suggestions, for any room? :)

Barbara, this was geared towards the bedroom but each room has its own function and a variation of these items could be incorporated to each. An example of this could be the addition of different scents in each room such as living herbs in the kitchen or fresh smelling fruit in the dining room.

I just moved into a 1940s apartment. The 3 story building is sinking, so everything is uneven. The outside flooring is the most level but everything is angled in. The deep 'sinking center' contains closets. The rest of the apartment, flow, view, layout is lovely. However, I feel off balance (since I am). Are there any cures for old dwellings? Thanks in advance for your help:)!
