Feng Shui Money Corner

I'm not sure if you've experienced this before... (wink, wink) but have you ever felt like you're not bringing in enough income or money to match your bills, goals and dreams?

Understand this, life is a marathon of ups and downs, ebbs and flows and is not a straight line up or down.

Just as the colors we choose for our wardrobe can affect how people view us and also how we perform in certain situations, the color of our wallet reflects our thoughts about money and wealth. But the good news is, you can turn your wallet into a money magnet.

Feng Shui Tips To Boost Your Career with a Water Fountain

ba gua
If you frequently read my Feng Shui tips, you know that each area of the Feng Shui ba gua corresponds to one of the five Feng Shui elements: wood, water, fire, earth and metal.

The career trigram of the ba gua is located in the center front of a home or apartment, and is represented by the element of water. The color black is, likewise, associated with water. Placing a water element, such as a water fountain or even a picture of flowing (not stagnant) water, in this area of your home or office can help activate the chi in that area and lead to greater career success.

Adding a water element helps in a number of ways.

1. Flowing water is typically associated with the flow of wealth, and most people strive for career success in order to increase their income.

2. Since the career trigram of the Ba gua is associated with the element of water, you can direct the flow of chi to that area of your home -- and your life -- by placing a water element in the area.

3. A water element in the career trigram of the ba gua, when placed with the intention of enhancing your career, reminds you of where you want to place your focus in life. It's a rule of the Universe that we'll attract what we focus on, so that fountain in the career trigram will help a home's inhabitants place a focus on their career for advancement, recognition, and greater income.

Applying a Water Element

If your home's entrance is in the career trigram -- which is common in many homes -- consider placing a fountain on a small table in the foyer. Make sure it is not directly in front of the door, where it will block the flow of chi, or behind the door, where it will prevent the door from opening.

In a smaller entryway, hang a painting or landscope photo on the wall. Consider something in light colors, with lots of depth to visually open the space.

You can also use the ideas in the career trigram of your home office or away from home on your desk, in your cubicle, or in your office.

Feng Shui Money Tree: Money CAN Grow on Trees

money tree
We all know money can’t really grow on trees, but there are specific things you can do to attract wealth and good fortune into your life. In essence, you are creating a “money tree” in your home. And you can use an actual money tree to attract fortune into your life. Remember, don't just think of wealth purely in terms of monetary gain; you also want to attract good fortune, personal growth and fulfilling relationships.

What is a Feng Shui Money Tree?

Feng Shui money trees come in two different forms -- living trees and symbolic money trees, which are often bamboo or pine trees with either gold coins or red envelopes hanging from them.

Examples of living money trees are the Malabar chestnut (Pachira Aquatic), a plant often grown in bonsai form and has shiny leaves in clusters of seven, which is considered lucky. Jade plants (Crassula Ovata) are also used as money trees. Both plants have lush, green leaves that look vibrant, which is energy that will attract wealth and prosperity.

You can use either type of plant in your space to attract wealth. These anchoring objects in your space will remind you of your intention to take actions that will enhance your pursuit of wealth and pave the way to money-making opportunities for you.

Ba Gua for Placement of your Money Tree

If you lay out the bagua over your home's floor plan, the Wealth corner will be in the left back corner if you are standing at the doorway and looking into the room. This is the best place to put your money tree. You can lay the ba gua over a single room or your entire home. If you are using a  living money tree, you may decide which wealth corner to use based on the area of your home that gets good sunlight, so that the tree will thrive. Dead plants are never good Feng Shui!

7 Feng Shui Tips To Increase Your Wealth With Moving Objects

Plaza Hotel Flags

They say March goes “in like a lion, out like a lamb.” Now is the perfect time to take advantage of those March winds by adding moving objects to your property to increase the flow of chi, help wealth flow toward you, and add a sense of “life and movement” to your property.

You can use several moving objects in different ways to increase the flow of chi on your property -- indoors or out.

Windsocks and Flags
Decorative windsocks and beautifully-colored flags help activate chi on your property. You can hang a flag that represents the rainbow spectrum, or to represent the Five Element Colors. Select your favorite flag to make a powerful statement. The United States flag is a wonderful symbol to hang in front of a place of business.

Windmills
Based on the ba gua, place the windmill in the trigram position that represents the area of your life you want to improve. For instance, placing a windmill in the wealth corner of your property will impact the flow of money. If the windmill's blades turn, money will flow toward you rapidly. On the other hand, if the blades don't turn, you'll hold on to the money you have. Indoors, you can use fans in the same way.

Fountains
Fountains are used in the wealth corner of the trigram inside or outside the home. They add the water element to a space -- balancing a fire element in a living room with a fireplace, for instance -- and attract money, peacefulness and harmony.
Exterior fountains should angle slightly toward your home or front door. They may also attract native birds, raising the chi of your property by attracting living things. Just make sure to keep the fountain clean.

Waterfalls and Ponds
Like fountains, waterfalls and ponds are powerful elements to attract money when placed in the wealth position on your property. The waterfall should flow toward your house. You can increase the waterfall's power if you position it to collect in a pond or pool that embraces your house. The re-cycling nature of a waterfall is a powerful symbol, after all, chi constantly circulates, being re-used and recycled.

Weather vanes
If your home is located at the intersection of two roads or experiences another problem due to draining Earth chi, weather vanes can cure this problem. Place them on the roof in a fixed position toward the area of the ba gua you wish to activate. Or attach a weather vane so that it can move and lift the chi of the entire space.
