Do The Tao Now By Sending Peaceful Energy

peace and graceSet aside time to make a conscious effort to send peaceful energy to someone or some group whom you think of as the enemy. Include a competitor; an alienated family member; a person of a different religious persuasion; or those you oppose in a government, political party, or disagreement.

Then literally send something to them if that feels okay to you, such as a flower, a book, or a letter. Begin your conscious effort today, right now, to surrender to the Tao and know authentic success, which has no separation.

Hi! I have heard, like, and done this for various people before...but now I run into the issue of...what do you send...sometimes you cannot send something tangible like a book or a flower because they won't even receive it or you need to send something that not just is healing for you but keeping them in mind...something that meets their needs not just yours..like guessing at what they would like that would be different from what you would choose to send based solely on what heals you and what you like..see? I go back and forth trying to decide...what is real selfless giving, on my part and for any animosity they may be feeling, which is probably also true...and what is really too much for me to give...asking too much of myself and not honoring my own feelings..and what is too much for them...to receive...and when to even think of these questions and when to just send something..it seems important depending on the particular person or situation or group you are doing this with...and sometimes all you can do is just send healing thoughts...or prayers..and what do you do about not particular people but undefined groups...with no official names or titles..very beautiful and powerful practice I have found...thanks for the reminder to do this more...doing it everyday is hard for me so I won't go there...maybe you have to do it more than once to people in your life...it seems to me that no one comes across different people everyday whom they would feel animosity towards..but it is the same few people or groups over and over again..so for me, I have to do it more than once...to the same few situations and people...I guess you could also do this towards a situation...couldn't you? Well, enough of my thoughts for today...thanks, Ken...it is helpful for me to hear this...gets me motivated and moving to stop procrastinating yet to go at my own pace without rushing...like Type A full speed ahead on the giving practice...which, humorously enough, many Westerners , even Western spiritual teachers, seem to do on the spiritual path...at least most of the ones I have encountered....really I have found that to be very disrespectful of the unfolding spiritual process...to push and push and say,..full speed ahead, open the throttle..and to me, that is not the whole essence and approach to spiritual practice at all..as a culture we really need to slow down and let be...to me that is the value and essence of all spiritual practice...not the practices themselves, although they are important of course, too...but the approach one takes to the practices..no matter what they are..is really more important to me and more living and embodying the path everyday than anything else...for me the Type A approach doesn't work..and I am too much this way anyway...although perhaps less so than many other practitoners and traditions that i have met and been in over the years. And I think as I am meeting more people from India in particular, they practice this approach more than anyone else..and also the Chinese, the Japanese, Viet Namese, even the Native Americans..these teachers to me seem to embody the whole spiritual approach to practice that I benefit from more and want to embody and look to as examples and models of what they teach...so for what it's worth, and I do hope someone benefits from this..this is what I look to and value and want in my life now...the American culture..the American spiritual teachers and paths...too much speed, too much pressure and push to all of it...and even the prices Americans charge for workshops, etc...it is alarming and sad to me...where is the true heart and essence of the paths...not there much anymore in my expereince...but exists more overseas...so those are my thoughts..love to all..peace to all the world..take care, with gratitude..Sharon No offense meant to you, Ken...not speaking personally about you or anyone...just my overall sense or observation I am sharing...I am sure other people have differing views...and that is okay...and if they do and it bothers me after I write this, I'll send them a flower in my mind...ha!

I found this article interesting and a blessing. Many years ago a Lakota Teacher asked everyone on our group to send out a message of silent blessing to complete strangers. One person a week is what he asked us to do. Since then every were I go I practice this, sending silent blessing's to those that I share the road, sidewalks, office hallway's. In front of one office building I saw a woman crying talking on her cell phone, I automatically sent her a silent blessing. I've learned to send them to every walk of life.

I've gotten to the point to even sending special blessings for animals that have been hit and killed by cars.

Sending Abundant Blessing's~!
