Overcoming Avoidance

Make the decision that you'll no longer use excuses to keep you from what you know is in your best interest. Today, act on something you've always avoided and explained away with a convenient excuse.

Make that phone call you've been putting off, write a letter to a distant friend or relative, put on a pair of walking shoes and go on a one-mile jaunt, clean out one section of your closet - do anything at all, as long as it's something you've been justifying not doing with excuses.

Affirm: I have a free will, and there is nothing I need to avoid. I will refrain from using any excuses to justify my avoidance behavior.

Ken... Well, it's not EXACTLY what I envisioned YET, but I have people more technical than myself working on those aspects.

I'm also going to hold a contest so my readers can help me come up with a better name.

But for now, it's "soft launched." I'm going to do an official launch and announcement the week of July 4... Independence Day.

And it HAS been fun... which is probably why I put off doing it. I have this weird thing where I do tasks I don't particularly enjoy doing first.

If I'm having too much fun when I'm working, I feel guilty. So some of my favorite gigs are the last ones I complete for the day. I'm changing that lately, though.

Dawn, I want to congratulate you on your soft launch. That is a big accomplishment. Well done. You may want to consider lighter colors instead of the heavy, dark colors. Keep up the great work and remember that the most successful people have been successful because they love what they do and have fun with it.

i already started. i registered with the Audubon society and Tri-

State wildlife rescue to volunteer and get trained for emergency oil spill response/bird rescue. All I want to do is save the animals..immediatly. I will drop everyhting I am doing and go somewhere i know nothing about. This is what I believe every driver of an automobile should be drafted to do.

I took a certification course online provided by BP and passed all the requisite tests and have a cert sheet. I can go and have beginning credentials. Outstanding!
