Living Self-Mastery: Tao Te Ching Verse 33

Tao Quotes

Knowing others is wisdom;
Knowing the self is enlightenment.
Mastering others requires force;
Mastering the self needs strength.

He who knows he has enough is rich.
Perseverance is a sign of will power.
He who stays where he is endures.
To die but not to perish is to be eternally present.

Great!

This is a great lesson about perseverance, to be tough and patient during hard times, and to know that to die for a noble cause, and firm trust in God, is not to perish, but to live eternally...

Hi, I just happened to stumble upon your website tonight while I was in humanity healing's website.

I really like what you offer here,particularly the combination of Zen and Taoism--2 of my interests, also. I also liked the passages on happiness and experimenting on dropping some pattern and seeing what happens. I will try it. And the part on having the strength to get up when you think you can't--really inspiring and what I needed to see and to see more of. I will get to the rest of the videos there at some later time. I try to remember to repeat to myself, especially now in my life, what Nelson Mandela said about his time in prison in the movie,Invictus: when I am down and have not the strength to get up again, what I say to myself, get up anyway. Not a direct quote but close enough, I think. Maybe this will inspire somoene like it does me. Take care. I vaguely remember seeing one of your flyers, Ken, at a dance for universal peace in Denver this week. I do believe it is the same website and person. Thanks so much, for the existence of this, Ken. Sincerely, Sharon

Great teaching, it is some thing we don't hear much in our society today.
